There’s something powerful about seeing a student’s eyes light up when they realize they matter, that their feelings, their struggles, and their voices are truly seen. At All It Takes, that moment is what drives our work, and it’s made possible through our work with the Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE).
This year, we’ve joined forces with VCOE on programs like the Youth Mental Health Conference and their Wellness Peer Program. Through these initiatives, students are not just learning about social-emotional literacy and mental health, they are experiencing it. They’re discovering how to express themselves, listen deeply, support one another, and recognize their own strength. Every activity, every conversation, every guided reflection is a step toward resilience and confidence. These young leaders left not only more prepared to serve their campuses, but also more connected to themselves and one another.
We are profoundly grateful to VCOE for trusting All It Takes to be part of this journey. Their commitment to creating spaces where students can explore emotions, build relationships, and feel safe is extraordinary, especially in times that feel uncertain and overwhelming.
Their willingness to bring our organization into classrooms and communities creates more opportunities to make a real difference, to plant seeds that grow long after the programs end.
Educators, students, and families are noticing. They see that VCOE isn’t just running programs, they are shaping a culture where mental health matters, where wellness is celebrated, and where youth are empowered to step forward with courage.
Together, VCOE and All It Takes are more than collaborators; we are witnesses to transformation. And every day, we see the proof: students growing stronger, braver, and more connected. That is the heart of our work, and it’s a privilege to share it with Ventura County.
